What are the benefits of using this Agency?
Security: We have a network of top quality, pre-auditioned artists. If anyone is sick or unable to make it for whatever reason, we are able to complete your act on short notice. This is one less potential stress waiting for you when the pressure is at its peak.
Quality control: Each act has been personally selected for skill and experience. Each of our artists have a high level of professionalism, ensuring that you don’t have to spend time searching and worrying if the act you book will deliver on the day.
Bespoke service: We have a large team of musicians with various skills, so we can choose the best musicians to suit your event. If you have a favourite song or arrangement that you would like for your event, we will do our very best to fulfil your wishes. If a particular piece of music does not exist in print for the musicians you would like, we can even have it specially arranged by our in-house arranger (for an additional fee).
How much will the musicians cost?
We aim to keep our prices competitive, although factors such as travel distance and arrival / finish times will affect our fees. Our Choose Your Musicians page displays a guide price for our most popular music packages. As each event has different requirements we offer free quotes tailored to your needs . Please don’t hesitate to contact us for a full quote.
How do we make a booking?
To make a booking, first please contact us and include details of the following;

Time, date & location of the event

What is it for (wedding, funeral, memorial?)

Details of the type of music/musicians your require, and any special song/arrangement requests.
We will then confirm within 48 hours if we are able to accept your booking request and will send you a link (by email) to pay your deposit online. Bookings are confirmed by receipt of a 50% deposit.
How does the payment work?
When you are ready to book, Somerset Musicians will send you a link enabling you to pay your 50% deposit by card via Squareup. Remaining payment is taken automatically 24 hours before the event, by prior consent from you (you will need to check a box to securely store your card details when paying your deposit).
If you wish to pay by cash or bank transfer, you will need to arrange this specially with Somerset Musicians and you may be required to pay the full amount upfront.
How far in advance should we book?
The further in advance you book the better chance you have of securing the music you want as our musicians are all professionals and do get booked up for gigs. We will however try to accommodate last minute bookings.
What if the musician/s cancel?
If a musician cancels for any reason, we will endeavour to find a replacement musician of the same standard, so that the event may go ahead unchanged. If we do need to make any changes to the event, we will first agree this with the client in writing. If in the unlikely event we are unable to replace the musician/s and need to cancel the booking entirely, you will be fully reimbursed and will be entitled to an additional £100 compensation from Somerset Musicians.
What happens if we (the client) cancel?
A deposit of 50% will be taken at the time of booking. This is fully refundable if you cancel more than 2 months (60 days) before the event. Any cancellations made within 60 days of the event will not have their deposit returned**. The remaining 50% will be taken 24 hours before the event and if the client cancels within this 24 hours, Somerset Musicians is entitled to keep the full amount.
**Any cancellations made less than 24 hours after booking (provided it is more than 7 days before event) will be fully refunded to the Client.
Does there need to be car parking?
Yes this should be made available, preferably near the entrance of the event, particularly if you have booked instrumentalists for your event. Any parking costs incurred would need to be reimbursed in cash and paid directly to the musician/s on the day.
